Renowned actor Gene Hackman, aged 95, and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, 63, were found deceased in their Santa Fe, New Mexico home on Wednesday afternoon. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the discovery, which also included their dog. Sheriff Adan Mendoza stated that there are no immediate signs of foul play, though the cause of death remains under investigation.
Hackman’s illustrious career spanned over four decades, featuring iconic roles in films such as “The French Connection,” “Superman,” and “Unforgiven.” He earned two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, and two BAFTA awards. After retiring from acting in 2004, Hackman pursued writing and painting. He is survived by his three children from his first marriage.
